Settings#

Use Settings to define the model scope and analysis preferences.

Model Scope#

Choose whether analysis should use:

Include linked models when relevant rooms, constructions, or boundary surfaces are located in linked project files.

After changing model scope, review the room, occupancy, and surface-material setup before running analysis.

When Include Linked Models changes, return to Surface Materials so Acouso-ROOM can rescan the construction inventory for the new scope.

Reverberation Calculation Method#

Select the calculation method required for the analysis.

Available methods include:

Use the method required by the project or acoustic assessment approach. The method selected affects the calculated reverberation result.

Display Units#

Choose the required display-unit preference:

This changes how supported dimensions and quantities are displayed. It does not change the physical project geometry.

Room Boundary Settings#

Room boundary settings control how Acouso interprets room boundaries during analysis. The available options are:

Coarse is the recommended default for a typical first analysis. Use Medium or Fine only when the model or required assessment calls for more detailed boundary handling.

Setup checklist#

Choose the host-only or linked-model scope, Sabine, Norris-Eyring, Millington-Sette, or Acouso calculation method, and Auto, Metric, or Imperial display units.
