Importing materials from Excel

1. Open the material import tool.
2. Click Save Excel Template.
3. Open the saved template in Excel.
4. Preserve the supplied headers and enter the material information on the Materials sheet.
5. Save the completed workbook.
6. Return to Acouso-ROOM and choose Metric or Imperial for the whole import.
7. Optionally enter an import name. If it is left blank, the workbook filename is used.
8. Click Choose Excel File and select the completed workbook.
9. Review each candidate and its status:
   • New.
   • Warning.
   • Exact match.
   • Possible duplicate.
   • Error.
10. Select the materials to add.
11. Click Import Selected.

Expected result:

• Valid materials from the workbook are added to the local Material Library.
• They can be used immediately in Acouso-ROOM.

New and Warning candidates are selected by default. Exact matches and possible duplicates are skipped unless the user deliberately selects them as copies. Rows with errors must be corrected before they can be imported.

The selected unit system applies to all rows in the workbook.

Use the current template exported from the installed Acouso-ROOM version rather than recreating or renaming its columns manually.
