Acouso

Real-Time Acoustic Analysis

Where Revit® Meets Acoustics.

  • Acoustic analysis directly within your Revit model
  • No exports or external tools required
  • Instant feedback on design changes

Real-time insight into acoustic performance

See acoustic performance as you design, without leaving Revit.

From disconnected analysis to real-time design decisions

Traditional workflows separate acoustic analysis from the design model. Acouso keeps calculations and visual feedback connected to the Revit workflow.

Traditional workflow

  • Export and rebuild model geometry
  • Run calculations in separate software
  • Return to Revit and repeat after every change

With Acouso

  • Use your Revit model as the source of truth
  • Analyse and visualise performance inside Revit
  • Adjust the design and rerun immediately

Fewer handovers. Faster iteration. Earlier acoustic decisions.

Evidence from real workflows

Less manual checking. Clearer acoustic decisions.

Feedback from engineering, architecture, and academic users working with Acouso inside Revit.

Workflow efficiency

The calculations matched our manual calculations, and automating the geometry and ceiling-height checks saved hours of work.

The project involved approximately 150–200 rooms. The team reported that the equivalent manual geometry calculation would take more than three times as long.

Design decisions

Exploring different materials early made acoustic decisions easier to justify and gave us a common output for discussions with engineers and clients.

The architecture team used Acouso-ROOM to understand how materials and treatments would affect spaces while design options were still flexible.

Ease of adoption

You don’t need to be a Revit expert to understand how the software works.

Although they did not use Revit day to day, the engineer found Acouso-ROOM intuitive and easy to navigate.

Academic workflow

Acouso played a key role in our master’s project, enabling detailed acoustic analyses alongside our architectural design. Its integration with Autodesk Revit made it a natural part of our workflow.

Acouso-ROOM was used to support acoustic evaluation alongside the architectural design process.

Frequently asked questions

Practical answers about choosing a product, working in Revit and evaluating Acouso on your projects.

What is the difference between Acouso-ROOM and Acouso-PLAN?
Acouso-ROOM focuses on room-by-room reverberation analysis across your Revit model. Acouso-PLAN extends the workflow to building-scale airborne and impact performance, visual markups and reporting. Acouso-PLAN is currently available through early access.
Do I need to restructure my Revit model?
No. Acouso is designed to work within your existing Revit workflow without rebuilding or exporting the model to a separate analysis tool.
Which versions of Revit are supported?
Acouso is compatible with Revit 2023 through 2027.
What happens after the 14-day Acouso-ROOM trial?
You can continue using the Free access level, purchase an Acouso-ROOM licence, or contact us if you need more time to evaluate it on a live project. You do not need to install a separate Free version.
Can I configure Acouso for different acoustic standards?
Yes. Compliance parameters can be configured around your project requirements, including NCC, AAAC or a project-specific acoustic brief.
Does Acouso offer free acoustic calculators?
Yes. Acouso Playground includes a free reverberation time calculator for exploring RT60 across six octave bands with editable materials, treatments, and Sabine or Norris–Eyring calculations. No account is required.
How is my Revit model data handled?
Analysis is processed using Acouso's secure cloud infrastructure. Only the parameters required for the calculation are transmitted; your full model geometry remains local. Read our Privacy Policy for more information.
