Overview#
Acouso-ROOM is an Autodesk Revit add-in for project-wide and room-level acoustic analysis. Users can:
- Assign acoustic standards and room occupancies.
- Connect Revit construction types and materials to Acouso acoustic materials.
- Include rooms and surfaces from host and linked Revit models.
- Run reverberation analysis across a project.
- Review reverberation time, STI potential, critical distance, and material information.
- Refine individual rooms with finish materials and acoustic treatments.
- Run reflection and Source-to-Receiver ray analysis.
- Manage standards and material libraries.
- Import, export, back up, restore, and report on project data.
Quick Start#
- Open User Hub, enter the authentication key, and click Verify.
- Open Acouso-ROOM and select the required project standard.
- Review Settings, including model scope, calculation method, display units, and room boundary handling.
- Assign room occupancies manually or use Suggest Occupancies and review the suggestions.
- In Surface Materials, assign baseline acoustic materials manually or use Suggest Materials and review the suggestions.
- Resolve any important missing or generic material assignments.
- Click Run Acoustic Analysis.
- Review results in Project Schedule.
- Open Room Analysis for detailed room review or Ray Analysis for spatial reflection analysis.
First project checklist#
- Open User Hub, enter the authentication key, and click Verify.
- Open Acouso-ROOM and select the project standard.
- Review Settings, including linked-model scope, calculation method, display units, and room boundary handling.
- Assign room occupancies manually or review suggestions from Suggest Occupancies.
- Open Surface Materials and map relevant Revit construction types to Acouso materials.
- Resolve missing materials and conflicts before running project-wide analysis.
- Click Run Acoustic Analysis.
- Review the project in Project Schedule, using search and room hiding to focus the schedule.
- Open Room Analysis or Ray Analysis when a room needs more detailed investigation.
