Project import and export

Import And Export#

Use Import/Export in the Acouso-ROOM main window to transfer project data, create backups, restore data, or export results.

Project Packages#

Acouso-ROOM project packages use the .acousoroom file extension.

Exporting A Project#

1. Open Acouso-ROOM.
2. Open Import/Export.
3. Choose the standard project export option.
4. Select the destination.
5. Click Export.

Expected result:

• Acouso creates an .acousoroom package for the current project workspace.
• The package can be transferred to another Acouso-ROOM installation and imported into the corresponding project workflow.

Importing A Project#

1. Open Import/Export.
2. Select the project import option.
3. Choose the .acousoroom package.
4. Review the confirmation.
5. Click Import.
6. Review standards, occupancies, materials, and Project Schedule after import.

Import merges the package into the current workspace and creates an automatic safety backup first; it is not a full workspace replacement. It can bring in project materials, standards, surface mappings, Source-to-Receiver States, saved analysis data, and their dependent references while retaining existing local data that the package does not supersede.

If linked rooms cannot be identified automatically, Acouso-ROOM can ask the user to remap them. Review the confirmation and imported content before continuing with analysis.
