Placing A Source#
- Open Source-to-Receiver Analysis.
- Click Place Source.
- Enter a source name.
- Set the surface offset and display radius.
- If needed, open Advanced configuration and set:
- Source level at 1 metre.
- Cone spread angle.
- Source direction.
- Place the source in the Revit model.
Placing Receivers#
- Click Place Receiver.
- Set the receiver offset distance.
- Set the capture radius.
- Place one or more receivers in the Revit model.
Running The Analysis#
- Set the ray parameters, including:
- Number of rays.
- Number of reflections.
- Maximum path length.
- Save and name the State if it should be reused.
- Run Source-to-Receiver Analysis.
- Set the number of Display Rays used for the model visualisation.
- Review Reflection Schedule.
- Review Receiver Analysis.
Higher ray counts, reflection counts, and path lengths can provide a more detailed analysis but require more processing. Display Rays controls only how many completed paths are rendered in Revit. It can be set lower than the analysis ray count to keep model display responsive.
Receiver Analysis can include:
- First Sound, the earliest arrival time in milliseconds.
- Direct Path information.
- Reflection Delay in milliseconds.
- Echo Risk.
- Clarity.
- First Sound Level when a source level has been configured.
These outputs provide receiver-specific design information based on the configured source, receiver, and ray settings.
Saved States can be created, renamed, duplicated, or deleted. A State keeps the source, receivers, and related configuration together for reuse.
