Academic investigation of learning spaces#
Acouso-ROOM supported an academic thesis investigating the acoustics of three existing learning spaces. The researcher reported close agreement between simulated reverberation times and on-site measurements following room-model calibration.
Using Acouso-ROOM within Revit, the researcher also explored bare-room configurations that could not be measured on site, visualising sound propagation and comparing acoustic performance. The study demonstrates how Acouso-ROOM can extend an investigation beyond existing conditions, helping designers explore alternatives before making physical changes.
